Sharon loved the Lord and served in many capacities at Severns Valley Baptist Church. She was a charter member of the Elizabethtown Baptist Church and most recently continued her worship of the Lord with her family at Valley Creek Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. Throughout her life she served her Lord as a Sunday School teacher and director, lead numerous Bible studies at Hardin County Detention Center and at various assisted living facilities. Early in her career, she served as Assistant to the Dean of Women at the University of Kentucky, where she was involved in the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Panhellenic Council and student government. She was dedicated to education; serving as both a teacher and as a substitute in public schools. Additionally, she was an instructor at Sullivan University’s Nanny Program. She also volunteered at Hope Academy for Kids and in the Hospital Auxiliary, among many others. She was known for her heart for others, spending a lot of time reading and in prayer, serving the community.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence Hall; parents, Lyons and Elsie Miller; and her sister, Lina Sue Hess.
She is survived by her son, Judge M. Brent Hall and his wife, Tammy L. Hall of Elizabethtown, KY; daughter, Holly Sue Rogers and her husband, Keith L. Rogers of Elizabethtown, KY; her loving grand-children, Linsey (John) Stiles of Cecilia, KY, Emily (Mason) Neltner of Rogersville, MO, Madison Elizabeth "Maddie" Hall of Louisville, KY, and Matthew "Ryan" Hall, of Elizabethtown, KY; her adoring great-grandchildren, Easton Chase Lasley, Abby James Stiles, Levi Lawrence Neltner, Ellie Claire Neltner, and Jude Matthew Neltner; as well as her beloved dog, Socks.
The funeral is Monday, July 7th, at 2 p.m. at Valley Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Kerr and Pastor Mason Neltner officiating.
Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and continues Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
