Shirley Pauline Smith

She was a native of Hardin County and retired in 2003 from Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Minnie Lawson, sister, Martha Hendershot, a brothers, Ralph Lawson and Harold Lawson and a sister-in-law, Eva Lawson.

She is survived by her husband, John W. Smith; eight children, Rita (Greg) Dowell, Angela Thomas, Juanita (Charlie) Cundiff, Karen (Gerry) Kortz, Kathryn Taylor, Michael (Margaret) Thomas, Catherine (Andrew) Keiran, and Jeffrey (Cindy) Johnson; her brothers and sisters, Owen (Mary) Lawson, Leonard Lawson, Lillian (Larry) Weinrich and Patty Lawson; and 56 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and step grandchildren.

A memorial service will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor David Goodin officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the funeral home.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
