Sylvia Ann Doss, 89, was born June 25, 1937, in Paducah, Kentucky, and passed away August 24, 2026. Having moved from Glendale, Kentucky to Elizabethtown, she enjoyed five years at Robinbrooke Senior Living.
Sylvia graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School. On September 30, 1956, she married her husband, Jerry Doss, in Paducah. During Jerry's career in the Air Force, they enjoyed living throughout the United States and abroad.
As empty-nesters, they enjoyed attending U.K. ballgames, river cruises, and spending time with their grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her parents Imon & Esther Badgley, and brother, Larry Badgley.
Sylvia is survived by one son, Joseph Doss of Elizabethtown; three daughters, Debra (Wayne) Doss Fisher of Wrightstown, PA; Beverly (Rick) Doss Goebel of Mt. Vernon, IN; and Michelle (Paul) Doss Jackson of Burlington, KY; and grandchildren, Alyssa and Cara Fisher, Kelsey Sanders, Ashleigh, Lauren and Madelin Jackson, Ian and Dmitriy Goebel, and five great-grandchildren. Her brother, Jerry Badgley, and sister-in-law, June Badgley also survive.
Visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, on August 29, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. A Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 am to 10:30 am. A Graveside Service will follow at White House Memorial Gardens, Whitehouse TN, on August 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm (in EST time.).
