
He was born in Louisville, attended WJCR's Church and retired from Laborers' Union #576 after 37 years. After retirement, he worked for Rural King for six years.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Loetta Peters and an infant brother, Wesley Peters.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Shirley Miller Peters; a step-son, Mike (Karen) Elliott of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Marshall Peters of Eastview and Doug (Tammy) Miller of Grayson County; one sister, Judy Sandfer of Eastview; one grandson, Michael Elliott, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Alice and Hazel and his best friends, Hylo Duvall and Tony Ewing.
The funeral will be Thursday at 4 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Don Powell, Jr. officiating.
Visitation will be from 12 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
