

As an Air Force wife, Violet lived in many foreign countries and states of the U.S. She was a graduate of Meade County High School and Spencerian Business College, was a former employee of the U.S. Civil Service, Boeing Aircraft Corporation, and retired from medical office manager for Cardiologist Dr. Lon Keith.
After retirement, she served as volunteer with local organizations and enjoyed spending time on her farm. She was a Christian, a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church and a charter member of the first English speaking Baptist Church of Madrid, Spain.
Violet was born on September 1, 1933 in Guston, Meade County, to the late William Cody and Garnett Cundiff Stone.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cherise Parks.
Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Jim Parks; one son, James Kent Parks; a grandson, Josh (Jessica); four great- grandchildren; her best friend, Annie, a Yorkshire terrier; and many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with Rev. Emory Riley officiating.
