Wayne retired from General Electric after 39 years of employment.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margarite and Wesley Dobson; brother, Clell Dobson and sister Naoma Bibb and wife of 69 years, Pat Dobson (Wright).
Survivors include three sons, Tom Dobson of Frankfort, Ted Dobson and Tim (Carla) Dobson all of Louisville; one daughter, Pamela (Tim) Baete of Louisville; one granddaughter, Caitlin (Christian) Goodan, two step grandchildren, Madison Moore and Morgan Whittaker, two great-grandchildren, Max and Charlotte Goodan, and two step great-grandchildren, Bennett Moore and Brayden Whittaker.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the the local food bank. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
