

She was preceded in death by her father Wendell Cornett, her stepfather Robert Vachon, her brother-in-law Donald Walker, and her aunt Patricia ‘Patsy’ Mick.
Survivors include her loving husband, Buford ‘Wayne’ Dial of Elizabethtown, her daughters Alina Miller of Elizabethtown, and Patricia (Mark) Brackett of Elizabethtown, her stepchildren Brooke (Greg) Weir of Gallatin, TN, and Jordan (Corey Clifford) Dial of Houston, TX, her grandchildren Samantha Miller, James Miller, Taylor Brackett, Madison Brackett, Blake Penick, Mackenzie Elmore, Lane Reynolds, Alexis Hoskins, her mother Marilyn Vachon of Bardstown, her brother David (Linda) Brown, her sisters Cindy Walker of Elizabethtown, Denise (Bruce) Carey of Bardstown, Brenda (Bill) Hagan of Bardstown, her best friends Diana (Ricardo) Moore of Elizabethtown, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wendy, a vibrant and unforgettable presence, has left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Larger than life, she embraced every moment with enthusiasm and joy. Wendy's deep love for her family and friends was evident in every aspect of her life. She never met a stranger, embodying warmth and kindness in every interaction. Her energetic personality was nothing short of infectious, and her radiant smile could light up any room, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Wendy’s breathtaking beauty was matched by her beautiful soul. She shared 31 wonderful years with her loving husband, creating a life filled with love and support. Wendy's prowess as an avid fisherwoman was well-known, and she particularly cherished fishing tournaments alongside her devoted husband.
She was especially fond of her beach trips with her beloved mom and sisters, showcasing her love for her family and the beach. Her adventurous spirit led her to discover antique treasures and occasionally hunt for arrowheads, revealing her fascination with the simple things in life. She found great joy in playing games of Rummikub and treated her cherished cats like royalty, showing her nurturing and caring nature.
Her affection for her children and grandchildren was undeniable. She exemplified the qualities of a perfect mom and granny that her daughters and grandchildren could aspire to have. Her limitless love and steadfast support offered a pillar of strength for her family, while her cheerful laughter and uplifting spirit brightened every family gathering.
Wendy's nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she embraced friends with the same warmth and care, creating an extended family bound by love and respect. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.
Possessing a remarkable green thumb, Wendy cultivated the most spectacular flowers, turning her home into a blooming paradise. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Wendy's unparalleled work ethic was a testament to her unwavering commitment to every task she undertook.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 2pm - 6pm at Brown Funeral Home, 306 College Street, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 1pm with visiting starting that morning at 9am. Burial will follow at Hardin Memorial Park.
