
He was a native of Hardin Co, and a member of Union Christian Church where he served as an Elder for many years. Garnett retired from Bussman as a glass cutter in August, 1986, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eva Florine Brown; two sons, Wm. Ray (Karen) Brown of Big Clifty, Daylon (Maggie) Brown of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Brandi (Lane) Fowler, Dustin (Amber) Brown, Alison (Ramon) Monk; four Great grandchildren, Lincoln Fowler, Lena Brown, Hannah Whitaker, and Taylin Brown Monk.
The Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Campbell and Sid Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Union Christian Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and continue after 10 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home.
