He was a native of Hardin County, served in the United States Air Force, and worked at Collis Manufacturing Company as a fork lift operator.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William M. and Geneva Arnett Cofer; and his sister, Judy Bronkema.
He is survived by his two brothers, Al Cofer and Quinn (Kathy) Cofer; three nephews, Michael, Thomas, and Andrew Cofer; and one niece, Samantha Daniel.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Brother Chris Kiger officiating. Burial follows at Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and continues after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
