He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and long time member of the American Legion Hardin Post 113.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elder and his parents, Martin and Lucille Elder.
Ronnie is survived by his girl-friend, Ann Cissell; his daughter, Kari (John) Biglow; two granddaughters, Sofie and Halie Biglow; his brothers, Thomas Elder and Edward, Buz, Elder (Bonnie); and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
A memorial service is being held Thursday, March 16th at 1:30 pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff.
