

William Clark Lenberger, lovingly known as "Bill," passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Born October 5, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, to George Lenberger and Frances Clark Lenberger, Bill lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to those who mattered most.
Family was the cornerstone of Bill’s life. He is survived by his loving wife, Maude Lenberger, with whom he shared decades of unwavering love and partnership. His children, Billy Lenberger (Angie) and Lisa Lenberger, and his beloved grandchildren, Josh Lenberger, Shelby Eriksen, Riley Eriksen, and Nathan Eriksen who all brought him immense pride and endless joy. He also leaves behind his mother, Frances White; his brother, Mike Lenberger (Suzanne); and his loyal dogs, Bandit and Charlie whom were constant companions and a source of comfort. Additionally, Bill cherished the many nieces, nephews, and friends who enriched his life.
A lifelong horse enthusiast, Bill’s heart was at Hill View Stable where he cherished attending horse shows and cheering on his barn family. His passion for American Saddlebred horses and his unwavering support of the sport reflected his genuine love for the people and animals that enriched his life. Bill also found great joy in his involvement with the Hardin County Fair Board where he served as the horse show manager for many years. He loved being part of the fair board family and took immense pride in his role which allowed him to share his love of horses with the community.
For nearly 50 years, Bill was proudly known as "The Ditch Witch Man," dedicating his career to Ditch Witch with passion and excellence. More than just a salesman, he was a trusted partner, mentor and friend to colleagues and customers alike. Bill’s charisma, integrity and work ethic made him a respected figure in his field and a joy to work with.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, George Lenberger and his cherished Aunt Lorene and Uncle Howard Pierce whose love and guidance profoundly shaped his life.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, from 10:00-1:00 at Brown Funeral Home, with a service at 1:00 PM.
Bill’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and dedication. Known for his storytelling, humor, and kind heart, he touched the lives of so many and will be remembered as a man who lived life to the fullest.
Rest in peace, Bill. You will forever be remembered as "The Ditch Witch Man," a devoted family man, a horse enthusiast, and a true friend to all who knew you.
