Cle Jacob Lorenz

Cle was born on February 27, 1981 in Clare, the son of Cle Lorenz and Debra Hoard. He was raised in Farwell, attending Farwell School through 11th grade. His senior year, Cle decided to attend Elk Rapids High School, graduating in 2000. Since age 14, he had been working for Cherry Ke in the cherry orchards. While in Elk Rapids, Cle met Tonya Rauch, they were married at their home in Kalkaska on September 15, 2007. Cle was a very proud father of three children, Kelsey Lynn, Cle Ty, and Tia Roselynn.

Cle was an easy going man who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a dedicated employee of Traverse Bay Painting and Yes Painting, painting and staining in high end new construction.

Cle was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He will be deeply missed by those that survive him; wife, Tonya Lorenz; children, Cle Ty and Tia Lorenz; father, Cle (Jean Sloan) Lorenz; mother, Deb (Archie) Hoard; brothers, Roman and Nathan Hoard and Derek Lorenz; sister, Holly (Adrian) Maule; nephews, Spencer and Alec Maule, and Little Roman; in-laws, Dan and Becky Rauch; brothers-in-law, David and William Rauch; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members. Cle’s daughter, Kelsey, passed away in 2002.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, November 15, 2010, at 5 p.m. at Elk Rapids High School Auditorium, with a spaghetti dinner to follow the service.
