Erik was born on January 6, 1983 and raised in Williamsburg Michigan the son of Carl & Denise Lake.
On September 9, 2017 he married the love of his life Morgan Paradis. Erik and Morgan brought two beautiful boys into the world, Wyatt and Austin. Erik was a wonderful father and so proud of his boys. He loved wrenching in the garage with them and teaching them all the tools and their uses. Erik was always up for an UNO or Supermario Kart competition and making them pancakes and bacon on the weekends. Erik’s boys were his world and his legacy will live on through them.
Erik graduated from Elk Rapids High School in 2001. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles and spending time with his family. Fridays after work Erik would stop and chat with his dad about how their week went. He loved wheelin in the burg with his best friend Dave. Erik could be found jamming to Country Gold Radio anytime he was finishing a project. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan and could easily tell you the stats of any sports team. He was a problem solver and jack of all trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. He was always on the quest for more knowledge, wanting to be the best at everything either at home, work or working on an endeavor. He had the most brilliant mind and shared his love and knowledge of programming with Tenet Hydraulics Co. and Grand Traverse Plastics.
