Marie Beth Gilbert

Beth Gilbert, age 89 of Kewadin, passed away on November 3, 2014. Loving mother of Linda (the late Tom) Moseley, Gladys (Mike Santangelo) Gilbert, Sharon (Vern) Gates, Douglas (Ann) Gilbert and the late Mark (Lorraine) Gilbert. Cherished grandmother of Cynthia Monier, Keith Akerley, Melissa (Michael) Henderson, Darcy (the late Ben Lewis) Monier, Randy Gates, Michael (Leigh) Akerley, Aaron (Amy) Monier, Renae Gates, Bryan (Aleatha) Akerley, Douglas "Benji" Gilbert, Daniel (Amber) Gates, Richard Gilbert, Adam Gates, John Cancilla and the late Matthew Gates. Great grandmother of 25; predeceased by 2. Great-great grandmother of 15. Dear sister of Lucille (the late Chuck) Baisch and the late Evelyn (Albert) Dietrich. Children's father; the late Clifton Gilbert. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Beth retired in 1979 from Bellaire Schools, moved to Florida and retired from South Florida Community College in 1995. She was a resident of Avon Park, Florida until 2011 when she returned to Michigan. Per mom's request, a celebration will be held in her honor, on her birthday, summer of 2015.
