Aaron Wendell Boston was born August 27th, 1951 in Mayo, Maryland to Kenneth E. Boston Sr of Edgewater and Hazel L. Butler of Mayo. He was beckoned to his eternal rest on Thursday, February 8, 2024 surrounded by family. Aaron was affectionately known as Pop, Dad, Daddy, PapaSon, Granpop, Pop Pop, Putty, and Brother Love. Anywhere Aaron went he was going to make a friend and make someone laugh. Aaron loved people but nothing more than his family. He was going to say and do as he pleased, remind you that he could, and what to do if you don’t like it, all with love. Aaron enjoyed his westerns such as John Wayne, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and Lone Ranger while he also enjoyed Ultraman and Hanna Barbara Cartoons.
He graduated from Annapolis High School, class of 1969, where he played football. While attending Annapolis High School Aaron met his first love and former wife Phyllis Moreland, whom he married January 1st, 1970, from this union they shared 3 children.
Aaron worked for North American - Von Paris in Arnold for many years. Aaron prided himself on his ability to pack a moving truck and his home improvement skills. He also spent time driving for the Providence Center transporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Aaron had many other interests including a love for carpentry, home improvement and working with his hands that he acquired from his father Kenneth.
Aaron was known to spend time with his brothers Carolus and Clayton, especially traveling and playing keyboard, and writing music in a multitude of groups such as The Marquettes, True Faith, Sons of the Family, The Anointed Majestic Sound, Golden Star Quintet, and more. He often would jump on the keyboard and sing background for many other gospel singers and groups in the Annapolis area.
Aaron’s greatest passion was his faith. Aaron was a devoted member of John Wesley United Methodist Church for many years. Aaron was an active member of the Board of Trustees and John Wesley’s Men’s Choir. “Brother Aaron” was known to sing every Sunday as a participant of many different choirs, even when he wasn’t supposed to.
