Anne Louise Corporal Young was born on January 6, 1946, to the late Bernice M. and Randolph Corporal. She was the grand-daughter of the late Geneva & Andrew Corporal and Lydia & Carwell Lincoln. She passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 8, 2023.
Anne was born in Oella, Maryland and later moved to Ellicott City (Jonestown), Maryland after the death of her father. She attended Harriet Tubman Junior/Senior High and graduated from Forest Park High School in 1964.
Anne was a “no-nonsense, tell it like it is” person, often without a filter. She would frequently say, “If you don’t want to hear the truth, don’t ask me.” She had a strong personality with a fighter’s disposition.
She was extremely loyal and a fierce protector of her family and friends. Anne was a fashionista that loved to wear high-heeled shoes. She enjoyed traveling and going to music concerts with family and friends.
Throughout her lifetime she worked as an accountant for A&P Corporate, later becoming a Licensed Master Beautician, and owned several Beauty Salons in Baltimore. In addition, she worked as a nanny for the Stafford Family and retired as a dis-patcher for Wells Fargo Armored Service.
Anne was first introduced to Jehovah’s organization at an early age through her Grandmother Geneva and beloved Uncle Jim & Aunt Catherine Corporal. In the summer of 1978, she became a dedicated, baptized Jehovah’s Wit-ness, attending the Ellicott City and Columbia congregations. Although her illness caused her to become disabled and unable to attend meetings in person, she enjoyed watching the programs on JW Broadcasting.
Anne was preceded in death by siblings: Irvin Corporal, Gary Corporal, Cecil Crenshaw, and Rosalind Howard; in-laws: Thomas (Jane) Crawford, Clarence Young, John (Mary) Young, Dee (Jerry) Young, Peggy Hammond, Phillip Young, James Feagins, Joan Corporal, Deloris Corporal, Kenneth Howard, Charlisa Crenshaw and Wil-liam Chambers.
Anne married the late Harry E. Young in 1968 and from their union they had three children. She leaves to cherish her memory children: Perry “PJ”, Gig “Fuzzy” (Wanda) and Joynel “Joy”; stepdaughter: Monique Hamilton; grandchildren: Sierra and Reisen Young; siblings: Randolph (Beverly) Corporal, Erma Chambers, Bernice Feagins, Suzette Murphy (Andre) and Douglas Crenshaw; stepbrothers: Harold Perry and Melvin (Wilma) Perry; several very special nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and life-long friends, especially Ms. Lil, Ms. Evelyn, Ms. Daphanie, Ms. Carolyn and Ms. Rita
