

Born on December 13, 1933, Audrey was the beloved daughter of the late Roger and Hilda Layman. She lived a life centered on family, kindness, and the simple joys that brought people together.
Audrey was the devoted mother of Kimberly Owens, Michael Clemens, and Richard Clemens. She was a loving sister to Ronald Layman and was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Layman, and her sister, Patsy Brakeall. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Jackie, Lee Ann, Jeffrey, and Richard Clemens, Jr. Audrey is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will treasure her memory.
Audrey found happiness in life's everyday pleasures. She loved dogs and always had a special place in her heart for her four-legged companions. She enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved, spending Saturdays cheering on college football, taking memorable road trips, relaxing with her favorite game shows, and ending many evenings with a Bailey's nightcap.
Above all, Audrey will be remembered for her love of family, her warm hospitality, and the many memories she created around the kitchen table and on family adventures. Her gentle spirit, caring heart, and unwavering love for those closest to her will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 11am – 1pm at which time a Celebration of Life Service will begin. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
