John Lord

One day I was at the church helping your Father fix something, cannot remember what. At lunchtime He insisted that I come over to their house and eat lunch with them. I tried to beg off, not wanting to burden them or intrude in their home. Barbara fixed us a real lunch with enough food for at least 4 more people. She was very welcoming and loving, treating your Father and I like we were honored guests. I was made to feel like I was at home eating with my own parents, it was a memorable event for me. I tend to be a bit rough around the edges, but both your parents have always demonstrated unconditional love in my life. In 1 Timothy 5: 2 the Bible teaches us to treat/view older women as Mothers. That was always easy to do with Barbara Chandler because she personified a Godly Mother. May the Peace of God fill your lives in this difficult time.
