

Barbara Marie Klebe passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born on September 28, 1939, Barbara lived a life defined by love, creativity, and devotion to her family. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Mt. St. Agnes College and later a Master’s Degree in Information Science from Johns Hopkins University, reflecting her lifelong curiosity and dedication to learning.
Barbara had a diverse and accomplished career. She worked as a Medical Technologist for more than two decades at St. Agnes Hospital, contributing to the health and well-being of countless patients. Later, she became a government contractor, employed primarily by Lockheed Martin, where she served as an Email Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for many years.
Barbara was a woman of many talents. A gifted gardener, she filled her yard with beautiful flowers that reflected her gentle and nurturing spirit. She was an excellent seamstress who lovingly crafted clothing for herself and her sister and passed that skill on to her daughters. She also loved the beach, and cherished annual family vacations to Ocean City, Maryland.
A wonderful cook and gracious hostess, Barbara will be remembered for her wonderful Easter dinners that gathered her extended family together year after year. Above all, she was a patient, loving mother and grandmother who made everyone around her feel valued and cared for.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Gerald Klebe; her sister, Linda Wheeler (husband Greg Wheeler); and her three daughters, Kathy Klebe, Lisa Elliott, and Rachel Ashby (husband Steven Ashby). She was the proud grandmother of Kayla Stanek, Lindsay Stanek, Savannah Elliott, Duncan Elliott, Caroline Ashby, Jefferson Ashby, Logan Elliott, Aspen Ashby, and Michael Ashby.
Barbara’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
