

Bonnie Jean Beaver (née Ostasewski), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of the Chesapeake in Pasadena, Maryland, at the age of 73. Born on October 22, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, Bonnie lived a life centered around love, family, and quiet strength.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Terrence W. Beaver, and their three daughters: Cindy Hoffmann and husband Matt, Michele Scala and husband Jimmy, and Kristie Barnes and husband Joe. Bonnie was a proud and loving grandmother to Haylee Hollaway and husband Scott, Joseph Barnes Jr. and fiancée Natalie, Anthony and Jade Barnes, Elodie, Katelin, and James Scala, and Darren and Savannah Hoffmann.
She is also survived by her sister Sharon Blair; sisters-in-law Nancy Calka and Phyllis Gunkel; brothers-in-law Howard Beaver and wife Cathy, and Theodore Beaver and wife JoAnn and several nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette and husband Vernon Johnson; her father Joseph Ostasewski; and her brother Robert Calka.
Bonnie began her career at Key Wine and Liquors before joining Ames Department Store, where she rose from inventory specialist to payroll coordinator, eventually earning an administrative role at the regional office. No matter the job, Bonnie brought dedication, care, and integrity to everything she did.
Above all, Bonnie was devoted to her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her husband of 53 years, children, grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Copper. She never missed a chance to support them at countless games, performances, and milestones. Family vacations were a treasured tradition that she carried on throughout her life. Bonnie loved to laugh and embraced life with a fun-loving spirit. The memories she created will continue to live on through the generations.
This is not goodbye — it’s just "see ya."
