

Bynum Howell Burnopp was born June 30, 1929 in Bluefield, West Virginia. Bynum peacefully passed away with his daughter Wendy at his bedside in his home he built 62 years ago on Sleepy Hollow Rd., Severn, MD. Bynum is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Catherine Burnopp, his parents, six brothers and sisters Joseph, David, Edith Marie, Billie Rae and Howell and one newborn son. Mr. Burnopp is survived by his children, Bynum H. Burnopp, Jr. (wife Barbara), Richard Wayne Burnopp and daughter Wendy Ann Burnopp (Donald Smith) and five grandchildren, Heather, Kenny, Kevin, Chris and Cody. Bynum is also survived by Deborah, Veyonne, Gus and Bill.
Bynum started and developed many work skills as a boy under his father's tutelage. Carpentry, rigging, livestock handling, butcher, plumbing, vegetable gardening and mechanics were Bynum's strongest skill sets. In 1944 Bynum began his paid work career with Baltimore & Ohio Railroad in Baltimore. Bynum retired from Harbison & Walker in Baltimore as a Shipping Foreman in 1976. A marriage to Kay F. Ries ended in divorce.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 (Exit 6 South off Rt. 100) on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 1:00-3:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm. A Life Celebration service will be held in the Kaufman Vermillion Chapel on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 9:30am. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. Family wishes donations to be made to the American Heart Association
