

Caroline “Ma” Ann Vickers, beloved mother and grandmother, witty conversationalist, and avid shopper, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2024. She was surrounded by family and memories of a life lived with warmth, humor, and a passion for the things she loved most.
Born in Altoona, PA on February 4, 1940, Caroline's life was marked by her deep affection for her grandchildren, whom she cherished with every fiber of her being. Her home was always filled with the sounds of laughter and joy as she delighted in their company, imparting wisdom and unconditional love at every opportunity.
Caroline had a sharp wit that was as quick as it was endearing. Sarcasm was her specialty, effortlessly blending humor with keen observations about life's quirks. Whether engaging in lively banter with friends or sharing stories with family, her unique sense of humor brightened countless lives and left an indelible mark on those who knew her best.
Among her many passions, Caroline had a profound love for reading and drawing. Her artistic talent shone through in her drawings, each stroke revealing her creativity and attention to detail.
Shopping was not merely a hobby for Caroline; it was a true passion. From practical necessities to whimsical treasures, she always found delight in discovering new items that brought joy to her and her loved ones.
Caroline adored the fall season, with its crisp air and vibrant colors. It was a time when she reveled in nature's beauty, whether taking leisurely walks amidst falling leaves or savoring the flavors of seasonal treats. Her fondness for animals extended beyond admiration; she cared deeply for her pets and found comfort in their loyal companionship.
Caroline was the beloved wife of the late Henry John Vickers, Sr. and the devoted mother of David William Vickers (JoAnna) and the late Henry John Vickers, Jr.; dear sister of Mary Ellen DeMoss (David) and cherished grandmother of Brian, Chris (Lauren), Kelly, Susan, Emma and Alexx Vickers. Caroline also leaves behind her four legged love “Toby”.
Her passing leaves a void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her, yet her spirit lives on in the memories she created and the love she shared.
A memorial service to celebrate Caroline's life will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 5976 Old Washington Road, Elkridge, MD 21075 on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
