She was the beloved daughter of Robert "Bob" Yates and the late Saundra Lynn Tolley, a devoted sister to Boomer, and a proud aunt whose greatest joy was spending time with her nephews. Family and friends meant everything to Christy, and the love she shared with them was unwavering.
Christy had a gift that few people possess—she made the world brighter simply by being in it. Her true calling was bringing happiness to others, and she did so effortlessly. She could walk into any room and, within moments, have everyone smiling or laughing. Her quick wit, infectious laugh, kind heart, and genuine love for others made everyone feel welcome and valued.
She embraced life with enthusiasm and found joy in the little things. Whether she was spending time with friends, listening to music, relaxing at the beach, taking a road trip, or simply looking for the next adventure, Christy made every moment more fun. She was a devoted Washington Redskins fan through and through, enjoyed playing slot games on her phone, and loved capturing photos and videos of the people she loved, preserving countless memories that her family and friends will treasure forever. Christy also had a special place in her heart for animals of every kind, especially her beloved lizards, which she cared for with great affection.
Above all else, Christy will be remembered for the joy she brought to others. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel like family, and her generous spirit touched countless lives. The laughter she shared, the smiles she inspired, and the love she gave so freely created memories that will live on forever. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, those fortunate enough to have known Christy will forever carry her light in their hearts.
She is survived by her loving father, Robert "Bob" Yates ; her brother, Boomer Yates, and his wife, Melissa Yates; her beloved nephews, Bobby and Ryan Yates; and many cherished family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Christy will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
