Daryoush was a Medical Physicist at The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He received his Ph.D. in Medical Physics 1998, from Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada. He is a Board-certified medical physicist with a postgraduate education in medical physics, an extensive background in radiation oncology physics, and an expert in Monte Carlo simulations, Tomotherapy, SRS, SBRT, IMRT QA.
Daryoush was an accomplished researcher and published writer. He was a member of the The American Association of Physicists in Medicine, Chair of the African Affairs Sub-Committee and the 2003 Farrington Daniels Award Winner.
First and foremost, Daryoush was a loving husband, son, brother, father, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He was an intellectual, an entrepreneur, a poet, photographer, an artist, salsa dancer, swimmer, hiker, and foodie. He was indeed a renaissance man.
Daryoush spoke seven languages and enjoyed traveling the world with his beloved wife, Tchernavia. Their love story is filled with joy, great adventures, and a thousand stories and photographs that chronicled their life together.
Daryoush traversed this life with curiosity, great joy and humanity, bringing smiles to the faces of everyone he met. His funny jokes, deep insights, and uncanny ability to connect with people from different cultures, led to an abundant and full life. He loved life and every person around him.

A celebration of Daryoush’s life will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100). We will begin with a pre-reception at 10:15 EST am, followed by graveside service at 11:30 am EST. We will end with an interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park. Additional virtual memorial weekend services will be hosted around the world by family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Baltimore.
