David Carroll Shifflett

David Carroll Shifflett age 67 of Pelion, South Carolina passed away on Friday May 8, 2020. He was born May 19, 1952 in Annapolis, Maryland to his late parents McKinley Johnson Shifflett and Della Mae Shifflett. He was proceeded in death by his brother Charles Morris and his sister Shirley Johnson. David is survived by his wife Audrey Shifflett, his three beautiful children David Fredericks, Amanda McClurg and Katie Green. His brother McKinley Johnson Shifflett, Jr. and his wife Sue Shifflett, and sister Audrey Owens. His beloved grandchildren Dean, Roman, Patricia, and Kristen Fredericks, Paige Feely, Joseph Fredericks, and Leighanne Bruce. He is also survived by his nieces Rachel Engler, Nancy Colona, and Della Rosenberger. His nephews Mckinley the 3rd, Charles Morris, Billy Johnson, and Henry Schoen. David is also survived my many other family and friends. David was employed by Howard County until he retired. He served in the nation guard. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed going to the races with his brother and children. He was a good father, friend and truly will be missed.

With limitations made to funeral practices due to the COVID-19 pandemic, David’s family is planning a private Graveside Service at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens where David will be laid to rest.

Dad you are loved and missed so much by everyone. You were a good man and a good dad to me and my sisters and you were a awesome grandfather to Patricia, Kristen, Paige, Dean, Leighanne, Joey and Roman. Dad the dover races and life will never be the same without you. Please dad look down upon us especially all your grand kids and keep them safe and help take care of us all and look out for everyone that misses you. Dad you were a big peice of all of us and know you have touched us all with your love so much. Dad you may be gone and in heaven but know you'll never be forgotten not for a single second. Dad thank you for everything and thank you for my own chance in this crazy world that we call life. You have taught me more about life and things than you ever knew. Dad rest peacefully and know one day i will be with you and see you again. Love you forever and always dad.
