On Monday, February 22, 2016 Col. Donald "Cookie" Joseph Cook, ret. US Army of Columbia, MD. Beloved husband of the late Mary Anne Cook, loving father of Nancy Cook Pope and her husband Craig and the late Robert David Cook. Brother of Marjorie Gorman. Devoted grandfather of Robert, David, Emily and Kasey Cook, Dawn Hale, Jonathan Cook and his wife Chelsey, Ryan Pope and his wife Carrie and Molly Courtien and her husband Brian. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, 3 nephews and 1 niece.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 ( exit 6 off Rt. 100 South) on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 11:00 am till the start of the Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA where Colonel Cook will receive full military honors.
