Memories of Karmachandran go a long way. My family and his family were friends from our native town of Kottayam. But we came closer to Karmachandran’s family when we came to the US, 37 years ago. 
We can never forget the beautiful days we stayed with them. Karmachandran took us to visit a lot of beautiful places despite his busy life. He treated both of us  as his own siblings. He was very hospitable, kind, affectionate and gentle. I never saw him angry. 

His demise came as a shock to us as it was to 
everybody else! But his memories will remain in our hearts for ever.

It was in 1985 when I met Karmachandran on our first visit to the US. Karmachandran and Susheela received us at their house in Baltimore, MD with open arms. His pleasant smile on that day is still vivid in my memory. A great human being who is loved by all and hated by none! That to me is Karmachandran. He always put himself in other people’s shoes. He was kind and loving. During times when we were down, he showed care and support. 
He definitely left this world for a better place chosen by the Almighty.  We share this sorrow with Susheela, Savithri and Sandeep.

DR. NAIR WAS  QUIET, CARING AND RESPECTFUL TO EVERY ONE HE MET.   HE HAD A GENTLE SPIRIT WHICH ENABLED HIM TO TREAT HIS PATIENTS AND STAFF LIKE FAMILY.   PATIENTS AND STAFF SIMPLY LOVED AND ADORED HIM.

WHILE WE WILL  MISS HIM, WE KNOW HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE.  HE HAS CERTAINLY LEFT A MARVELOUS LEGACY. THANK YOU FAMILY FOR SHARING HIM WITH US.

My heart was saddened when I learned of Dr.Nair passing I worked for him for many years (and Mrs .Nair also) He was a compassionate man first and a great medical provider. He taught me so much and always treated me with respect .My condolences to his family and friends.

I am saddened by the news of Dr. Karmachandran’s demise. Although we had limited interactions, he leaves behind lasting memories. I have cherished his loving simplicity, warmth, and grace. My heartfelt condolences to the family. May his soul Rest In Peace!

Dr Karmachandran(we call him Karman)was my class mate, housemate and a great friend. We had wonderful time at KMC.I remember ,we had a get together at Trivandrum club years back and that was the last meeting with us. My heartfelt condolences to my dear Karmans family. May his soul rest in peace🙏

We are passing through the trauma of losing our dear brother. He has left us with a lifetime of great memories. As his siblings, it was always a festive occasion for us when he used to come home on holidays from his medical studies. In the last few days, we have been fondly recollecting countless occasions when we enjoyed his company. He had special love for each one of us, and was a great source of strength, whenever we needed him. He was musically talented and used to sing and also enjoy playing his favourite musical instrument (bulbul) during his student days. He had a keen sense of humour and was extremely popular with friends. His positive outlook was contagious.

We felt sad and helpless when his health gradually deteriorated. Everything that was humanly possible was done by Susheela to bring him back to normal life, but it all proved futile. We seek consolation in the thought that suffering has ended for him and his noble soul has attained eternal peace.

There is deep anguish in everyone’s mind. To a person like me who married into the family almost four decades ago, he represented all that was desirable in life. He personified positive energy. He meant happiness and good fun. Our interactions were limited to the times he passed through Mumbai (where we lived). During his last couple of visits we spent time together. It was disheartening to see his physical capabilities on the wane. But his spirits still held, a proof of his inner strength.

He will remain forever in our minds, a part of the best years of our lives, whose presence among us was brutishly cut short. But then, as J M Synge wrote, “no man can live for ever...and we must be satisfied”
