There are so many memories I have of this wonderful man! I always knew that he would do just about anything for me if I asked. And when it came to his daughter Wanda, he would make whatever she/we wanted to make, fix, remake or refinish happen. He would just shake his head, smile that great smile and laugh at us, but he would get it done......I think he thought the two of us were just a tad crazy at times. I always called him dad.....

Let’s not even start on the auctions in Crumpton! We would laugh at all the junk, then bid on some of that same junk. Dad would just shake his head, again, and sometimes see our vision and sometimes not!

As the years went by, and I moved away I didn’t get to enjoy the day to day times, but whenever I was in MD I would get to see dad, he always knew me and would smile and asked what I was up to!

I will miss him......

Everyone was excited when we heard Uncle Duane was coming to Michigan. We loved him and we knew he loved us. After Dad had his accident, we went to visit Uncle Duane. Dad had a special bond with his brother Duane and wanted visiting his brother as part of he recuperation. He loved a good Michigan Spy apple and a good Michigan tomato. BLTs were always on the menu if he came in August. I will miss his stories of Fisher shennenigans or of ports far away. May you rest in the arms of Jesus. This is the last picture I have of Uncle Duane, holding my grandson.
