Mr. Elias Alem was born on April 16,1979 in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. On February 25, 2022, Elias Alem, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 42. He is survived by his father, Mr. Alem Wondamgnhu, his mother, Dr. Asresu Misikir; his elder brother, Mekdem Alem; his two nephews, Gebriel Alem and Michail Alem; his niece Sara Alem and his great nephew, Gebriel Alem, Jr.

In 1990, at the age of 11, he moved to the United States, along with his father and brother, where they joined his mother who was studying for her doctoral degree at Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 1997, he graduated from Mervo High School and, thereafter, attended Towson University in Towson, Maryland. In 2005, he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.

For more than a decade, Mr. Alem worked as an IT consultant for various companies across the state of Maryland. Though he had a flourishing career in IT, his drive for success and strong work ethic motivated him to partner with his family to establish Fasil Properties, LLC. As a founding member and business manager of Fasil Properties, he helped build a strong foundation for the family business. His commitment to all facets of his life will forever remain inspiring to all those who were blessed to have crossed his path.

Mr. Alem was a very humble, generous, compassionate, caring and thoughtful individual. He was known for his charismatic and contagious smile, his uplifting disposition, as well as kind and cheerful character. He truly walked in the light of God and always loved and protected his family and friends. He was the kind of person who you could count on at any given moment.

Despite our despair and deep mourning for our son and brother, it is the inevitable process of God that every human being is called back home to heaven. He touched our lives forever and he will be profoundly. missed.
