Ernest McDermott Sr. age 74, of Hanover, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019. Devoted husband 52 years to JoAnn McDermott. Loving father of Ernest McDermott Jr. and wife Gina, Tanya Goldsmith and husband Daniel, and Christopher McDermott and wife Kate. Cherished brother of Marian McDermott. Beloved grandfather of Erin, Alysha, Seth, Gabriel, Ayden, Emillee, Payton, Jayshawa, and Airik. Ernest is preceded in death by his 8 other siblings. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 3pm to 5pm and 7pm to 9pm. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
