Never a dull moment.  An early morning 5K resulted in an emergency purchase of shorts for Ernie to be in uniform.  Needless to say they were a little big on him.

One of the most special memories I have about Ernie is that I have NO bad or distasteful memories of him. The pictures in my mind are those of baseball, scouts, cookouts with friends and family, and boys being boys. Ernie was always a good friend to Olivia and Carl. He would give Liv his opinion on guys  (I think he secretly had a crush on her) and help Carl with scout projects. He was like a good, big brother to him and he always had a smile for us ! another very important thing---he loved his Mom dearly and tried his best to be a son that she was always proud of. We were all proud of him and glad we were able to share a small piece of his life. We are so very sorry for his loss to his family. We never got to meet the twins or his wife but I know they will forever miss that twinkle in his eyes and his good hugs. Wrap all the good memories around you and let any bad ones go.
