

Forest was born on September 28, 1929, in Alvon, West Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. He was the son of the late Lewis Berlin Boggs and Mary Pearl Campbell Boggs.
He was a Corporal in the U.S. Army from 1951 – 1953 during the Korean War and served as a medic in Germany. Following his military service, he worked for many years at the General Motors plant on Broening Highway in Baltimore, Md.
Forest was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Fay Osborne Boggs. He is survived by his son, David L. Boggs of Baltimore, MD and daughter Sandra F. Bentley and her husband Elmer “Pete” Bentley of Saint Leonard, MD; granddaughters Rachel Bentley and her husband Derek Gee of Frederick, MD, and Rebecca Hurley and her husband Eric and one great-grandson, William Evan Hurley of Birdsboro, Pa. He is also survived by one brother, Emmett Boggs of Myrtle Beach SC, and sisters Geneva Kitchelt of Bowie, MD, and Violet Wyatt and Agnes Boggs of White Sulphur Springs, WV.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm where a Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in the Kaufman Vermillion Chapel at 11:00am. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
