Gerald "Ozzie" Glenn Oursler

Gerald "Ozzie" Glenn Oursler, age 94, of Swanton, Maryland formerly of Jessup, Maryland passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Gerald was born May 30, 1927. Ozzie was born in Jessup, Maryland to Mary and William Oursler. He worked for and retired from the Maryland House of Corrections. He lived for many years in Elkridge, Maryland before moving full-time to Garrett County, Maryland. He truly loved living in the mountains and had many friends, along with many hunting partners during deer season.

Ozzie loved country music, collecting guns and knives, and watching old cowboy TV shows.

Ozzie is survived by his son John Stephen Oursler and his wife, Julia Albert Oursler. He is also survived by his grandson, Justin Wesley Oursler and his wife Bernadette Oursler, along with his great-grandchildren Garrett and Cole Oursler. He is also survived by his granddaughter Erika and grandson Nathan Oursler. He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Merson Oursler and son, William Wesley Oursler.

A Visitation for Ozzie will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075, where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, 11:00AM. Burial Meadowridge Memorial Park.
