Goldia Leanis Peters

Goldia “Leanis” Peters, age 77, of Harbeson, Delaware, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Goldie, who both died young; her Uncle Don and Aunt Billie, who cared for her after her parents’ passing; her brother, Larry Seed; and her son, Kevin Peters.

Leanis is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Coen L. Peters; her son, Timothy Peters, and his wife, Sarah; her cherished grandchildren, Benjamin, Samantha, Christopher, and Abigail; and her sister, Shelly Hines, and her husband, Hampton.

She also had many friends at Legion Post 28.

Leanis enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, reading, and visiting casinos. She loved playing bingo with her friends and was active in a bowling league.

She earned an Associate’s degree in computer science from Anne Arundel Community College and worked as an Office Manager at the Carpet Shoppe, in human resources at a bank, and at Kmart.

A Visitation for Goldia will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, Maryland 21075, where a Funeral Service will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 3:00 PM. An inurnment will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 12:15 PM at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075.
