

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025 Henry Carl Lee gave up time for eternity. In sweet peace, he departed this life of 65 years at his residence in Hanover, Maryland. We, his family members and friends, bow in humble submission to the Will of God.
Henry was the son of the late Arda Lee and Annie Wilson Greenard. He graduated from North Rowan High School. After high school, he attended Wingate College and Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia where he received his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, Henry enlisted to serve in the United States Navy, where he obtained his Master's of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Henry was also a Registered Professional Engineer. While serving his country Honorably, Henry received the following honors: Meritorious Service Medal; Navy Commendation Medal-4; Navy Achievement Medal-2; Navy Unit Commendation; Meritorious Unit Commendation; National Defense Service Medal-2; SW ASIA Service Medal; and Sea Service Deployment. With each of his outstanding accomplishments, his greatest reward was being a father to his Princess, Tronda. Henry retired as a Lieutenant Commander from the United States Navy. After his retirement, Henry decided to go back to work as a Project Director for the Federal Government at the National Security Agency.
In his leisure time, Henry enjoyed fellowshipping with his family and friends; listening to music; attending concerts and just finding a good book to read. Henry believed in enjoying life to the fullest, which he did each time he traveled the world with his daughter.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shirley Steele and Betty Issac.
A man of wit, friendliness and capability, Henry Carl Lee was loved and admired by all who knew him.
Henry leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his daughter, Tronda A. Lee of Apex, North Carolina; four sisters: Ruby Beaty of Salisbury, North Carolina, Norma (Lovett) Gaither and Terri Hammond, both of Hampton, Virginia and Rita Lee of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; three special friends who were like family: Cliff "Little Nephew" Watkins, Jesse "Master Chief" Lynch and Darnell "Blue" Reid; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Roberts Funeral Service Chapel 416 Valley Rd, Mocksville, NC 27028 with a visitation at 1:00 PM prior to service.
