

Jalene Hanlin, 84, of Laurel, Maryland, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, peacefully Saturday, October 12, 2013. She has been reunited with her parents Archie Gulley and Beradina Book Gulley, step-mother Florence Gulley, brother Jerry Gulley and sister Joyce Friend.
She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She was a homemaker who loved to cook and bake. She was characterized by her gentle spirit, welcoming home warm smile and genuine love and interest for people. She had a great love for her church, Rice Memorial Church of God, where she played the piano and served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary for many years.
Beloved wife of Golden E. Hanlin, loving mother of David Graham and his wife Debbie, Jeff Hanlin, Jana Haas and her husband Bill, Brian Hanlin, Danny Hanlin and his wife Nicole and Amy Hanlin. Sister of Mitzi Strong, Jack, Don and Roger Gulley. Grandmother of Robert Graham, Toni Cruz, Emily and Colt Hanlin. She is also survived by her Great-Grandchildren; J.T., Carmen and Kaitlyn Salcedo and many nieces and nephews. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 (exit 6 off Rt. 100) on thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October18, 2013 at 10:00 am. A "Time of Celebration & Luncheon" will be held immediately after the funeral service then the interment will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD at 1:45 pm.
