MD., passed away unexpectedly. He was the beloved husband of Karen M.
Darling and son of Ruth Darling and the late John Darling. He is
survived by Ellen Laramie (Jim), Paul, Mark and Steve Darling. He is
also survived by 5 nieces: Rachel Drummond, Laura Moses (Christopher
Dean), Annabelle Moses, Crystal Laramie, and Gwendolyn Laramie. He
is preceded in death by his niece Shannon Drummond and his nephew Jimmy Laramie.
Jim was born in New London, Conn. on October 17, 1961. He graduated
from Michigan State and moved to Maryland where he earned his PhD in
Electrical Engineering and worked at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics
Lab for the past 35 years. He was married to Karen for eleven
wonderful years. Jim enjoyed yoga, kayaking, biking, collecting Art
Nouveau antiques, and restoring his 100+ year old home. He will be
greatly missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Mass at St.
Paul's Catholic Church, 3755 St. Paul Street, Ellicott City, MD
(410-465-1670) on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 10:00 am. There will
be a reception following the service. The burial will be a private
event held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a
