Rest In Peace . Thank you for always being so nice

Both of my daughters danced with him. He was always so kind and all the girls loved partnering with him. So sorry to hear the news, what a sad loss for everyone.

I met Jesse and Hannah through CAA years back. In sports you can tell a lot about someone's character. Jesse was a teammate and also someone I played against. I could tell right away he was one of the stronger players..you could always rely on - like a rock. He never held back, and he'd give it his all when it mattered. But he also had a gentle smile and glimmer in his eyes that brought joy and fun to the game. Its something I'll always look back and remember fondly. Definitely a great person. Rest easy friend. You touched many people. May angels swiftly guide you and I pray for your family to find peace. Until we meet again.

I've known Jesse since we were 14 years old.  We were great friends for many years.  Over the past couple of years we unfortunately lost touch but I am so incredibly sorry to hear of his passing.  He was an extremely kind, fun, and honest person.  I know he will definitely be missed by so many people.

Art, I attended Jesse's funeral, but I had to leave before getting to see you. Randall and I are so sorry for this devastating loss to your family. We pray God will hold you and Bonnie close at this time, and give you peace and comfort.

 Jesse and I met 10 years ago at a restaurant in Old Ellicott City called Rumor Mill, when we met I knew that we would have a friendship right away because we bonded over sports and yesterday at your funeral everyone mention how much of an athlete you were how great you were I remember you used to have to leave work early because you had to have floor hockey game or soccer match.  A lot yesterday was talked about your family, your sports family and your church family but there was something that was forgot to mention and that was your restaurant family. The people you spend 80 hours a week with and you still want to go grab a drink with after work the family that you have blood sweat and tears with and you still call or text him every day.  I remember  how we used to spend birthdays,  August 12 together and then the moment it hits midnight August 13 it was my birthday and you would make it such a big deal for me and I'll never forget that birthday buddy I'll never forget you JTH .  I miss you every day, I love you Jess.

To my dear brother Jesse Terry-Hernandez... I'm sorry I won't get to see you off this week... rest with the stars where you belong man. I'll miss our Yankee/O's rivalry. Most of all I'll miss a guy who sweat and bled alongside me when we were young ballplayers. I'll miss you my friend. I'll see you again one day. #diamondbacksforever#tellcoachsteveIsaidHello

I have been in CAA my whole life. I have watched many people grow up through the program. Jesse was one of the rare ones you never forget. His ability to maintain his competitive spirit while maintaining a great attitude towards his competitors was rare. His willingness to constantly volunteer and help out at CAA in any way necessary was commendable. 

My wife and I used to try and plan our date nights around whatever restaurant Jesse was working at so we could get him as our server. 

He will be greatly missed.

Words fail. 

I have the clearest memory of the week or so after Jesse learned to whistle (he must have only been six or seven). We were in church and every few minutes I'd hear him from the other side of the sanctuary whistling away. Those were simple times.

Jesse and I have known each other since I can remember. He was one of the most talented people I knew. Could play various instruments and always had bulging muscles, even when he didn't work out, which is something I always envied. Our friendship  Was full of many ups and downs. Most of the downs coincided with battling against him on the CAA soccer field. I will never forget those great memories. Jesse and I lived together for a while and we became even closer during this time. He and I would stay up late together playing video games and making ramen noodles. I am very sad to have to say goodbye to him now but I take joy knowing that as believers in Christ we will see each other again.

There are way too many memories of Jesse to express them all on here. I remember that Jesse was on my floor hockey team, then my spring outdoor team and he and I helped each other come up with plans for the team. He was a very smart sports player. Always knew what to do that would work against each team. I remember one game in soccer that I was playing forward and he was playing center back. He got the ball at midfield and I just started running and he knew exactly what I was doing and gave me a perfect ball that lead to a beautiful goal. Jesse was always a great guy to be around and definitely one that I loved to have on my team. CAA will most certainly be different without him, and he will be missed by many.

I've been trying to think of words to say all day and I end up getting tears in my eyes every time I do. I have coached soccer for a long time for CAA and through the years there are always a few special ones that just stick with you. You were not just a player, you sir were my friend. We played soccer together, we drank beers together, and I even designed your first tattoo. I am thankful for the times we had together. Jesse you will not be forgotten and my thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends!!

Hey coach Art and Mrs Bonnie. We love you guys and love your family. I have struggled with what to write because there are no good words. I pray that you guys have a peace that surpasses all understanding. It's so hard to see His faithfulness in these times, I can't even imagine. I wish I lived closer and was able to see you all more. I will always cherish the times Jesse and I had at your house. Foof diving and having the kids attacking us, our beach trips and skateboarding down the hill. I know your getting a ton of messages but know we as well are praying for you guys and the rest of the kids.

First, I would like to apologize that I will not be with your family tomorrow (I am still on work assignment). Additionally, I hate that facebook is the medium over which I am reaching out. I feel that it is an insult to the length of the relationship between your family and mine but my phone is currently not working. There are things I want to say about Jessehow I admired the frankness with which he spoke about his struggles (what an awesome reflection that is on your example), how his constant presence on the field/court/diamond over the past 20 years has informed the athlete that I am today and how great it was to see his excitement over finally being on both Matt and Dave's teambut I am not sure that I have processed the entirety of the impact he has had on my life. For now, I am comforted that the Saviour is committed to walking this path with you and that He is not a God of easy times, easy questions and calm waters only, but one Who's fierce love and commitment to keep His promises compels Him be with you in this storm. I also appreciate that He is not a stranger to grief and that He understands our frame, that we are dust. I pray that you will feel His love surround you and your family both tomorrow and in the weeks, months and years to come. Again, I regret not being able to be there with you during this time. I would like to visit when I return and you are up to it.

Jesse has been a beloved member of Turning Pointe for many years.  He will be missed so much by his dance family.  He had such talent, strength, grace, and enthusiasm along with that smile and twinkle in his eyes.  Our hearts are heavy with the loss of such a special guy.  Miss Lisa

Sincerest sympathy for your family's loss

Jesse loved exhibiting his beautiful ability to make a PERFECT flan on Christmas or Thanksgiving, which he learned from his Cuban Grandmother. The flan was Perfect every time. We would often tell Jess his flan could put the Food Network flan to shame. And the second favorite memory still makes us laugh occurred while on a family vacation at the beach a few years ago. Our youngest son Kipper (Jesse's cousin) was afraid of the waves, and Jesse would run after our Kipper, sling him over his strong shoulders and run him into the waves. Kipper would quickly try to run out again and again, but Jesse caught up with him each time. Whatever the day, Jesse was always willing to give one of the best hugs ever. We will miss him terribly, but we cling to the Hope in Christ that we will see him again. With unending love, Kim, Mark, Keenan and Kipper Terry ❤

Art, as you know most of my memories of Jesse surround CAA or Jesse and Luke growing up together. I still can see Jesse and Luke running and jumping on the futon in your living room and launching David and Mathew through the air. My memories of Jesse and your family are fun memories. 

I'm sure you may remember the "problems" I had with my car transmission? Right? Trying to figure out why the heck my stupid car kept lurching forward at the stop light just to look in my rear view mirror to see Art, Bonnie, Jesse and family laughing hysterically as you shoved my car forward with your truck.... and then all the races to try and get behind the other for "revenge"

To much fun and laughter with Jesse and the Warshaw's I will never forget.

We share 10+ years of memories - there are just so many. We loved playing soccer and hockey with Jesse, and serving alongside him at CAA. Late night Applebee's dinners after indoor. He was our favorite waiter and barkeep. One time he crashed our date night as our waiter at Xitomate, but it was so great to get to talk with him that we didn't mind. 
He was also so encouraging and supportive of his friends. And oh so graceful on the soccer field! :)

You were so loved, Jesse.
