John Ray Thomas, age 71, of Jessup, Maryland passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, after a 4 year-long-battle with cancer.
John was born and raised in Jessup, Maryland, where he remained a lifelong resident. He was an active member of the Freemasons and deeply valued the connections he made there. In his younger years, he cherished hiking adventures with Stephanie and had a great love for animals, enjoying the companionship of the pets they shared.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Stephanie Thomas; Siblings, Charles L. Thomas, Roger A. Thomas, Jerry W. Thomas, Gary L. Thomas, Evelyn J. Crispell, Judy M. Brinley, Irene J. Lescalleet; and several nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Helen Thomas.
A Memorial Gathering for John will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:00 PM, located at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home, 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075.
