Joyce Irene Guthrie, lovingly known as Ducky to her family, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born in North Carolina, Joyce made her home in Pasadena, Maryland. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, James Guthrie; her son Patrick Guthrie and his wife Gail; her daughter Sandra Guthrie Adkins; grandchildren Beverly, Christine, PJ, Jamie, Eddie, and Katie; and great-grandchildren Connor, Cameran, and Addie.
Joyce was an avid gardener who found joy in nurturing plants and creating beauty around her home. In her memory, the family is creating a memorial garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made with gift cards to local stores such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, or nearby nurseries to help bring this living tribute to life.
