Katherine Rose Brennan, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, at the age of 74. A resident of Ellicott City, Maryland, Katherine was born in New York on July 24, 1951, to her loving parents, Dominick and Lola Muraco.
Katherine is survived by her devoted husband of over 52 years, Peter Brennan, and her cherished son, Dan Brennan, and his wife, Tonya. She also leaves behind her adored canine companions, Bear and Harley, and joins in rest her much-loved pets who passed before her: Cookie, Chase, and Kande.
Katherine’s vibrant personality shone through her many passions. She had a deep love for red Mustangs, especially convertibles, and found great joy in time spent near the ocean and beach. Raised in Brooklyn and Queens, she remained a loyal fan of the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals hockey teams.
She had a spirit of adventure and treasured her travels to Italy, France, and Switzerland. Though she never visited, she often dreamed of living in the Bahamas, a place she held close in her imagination.
Music played a special role in her life. Her tastes ranged from rock 'n' roll and classic '60s hits to modern country and crossover artists such as Toby Keith, Luke Bryan, Shaboozey, Post Malone, and Jelly Roll.
Katherine will be remembered for her warmth, humor, loyal heart, and the unique spark she brought to every part of her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
In keeping with her generous and compassionate spirit, Katherine was an organ donor. She hoped her decision would inspire others to consider the gift of life and carry forward the importance of organ donation.
