

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen “Kathy” Thelma Jackson (Askew), age 66, on May 20th, 2026 in Baltimore MD. Born on September 7th,1959 in Baltimore MD, she was the cherished daughter of Betty (Thomson) Askew and the late Edwin Askew.
A devoted and loving wife, Kathy shared 40 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, James “Jim” Jackson. Together, they nurtured a life filled with laughter, support, and unwavering kindness. As a Mom, she was the “Go To” of the family—a source of endless patience, compassion, and unconditional love.
Kathy was known for her generosity and deep devotion to Family, extended Family, and Friends. Whether she was volunteering at School, sideline cheering at the Boy’s Sporting events, helping at the Boy’s Scouting events, competing with Neighbors at Game nights, enjoying a Wine Festival, or just hosting a neighborly dinner party, Kathy’s contributions and her heart were always focused on the happiness of others. She taught everyone around her the true meaning of kindness, grace and selfless love.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her husband, Jim; her Boys, Chris Jackson, Josh Jackson (Kelsey), her treasured granddaughter Macy (Josh and Kelsey), and Zach (Claire); her mother, Betty Askew; her sister, Karen Haab (Dan); mother-in-law, Josephine Jackson; her sister-in-law Deb Strutt (Dan); her sister-in-law Linda Askew; and a wide circle of relatives and friends whose lives she touched countless ways.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Askew; her sister, Cindy Askew; her brother, Kevin Askew; her father-In-law, James “Jim” Jackson; and her brother-in-law Don Jackson.
A Catholic Mass will be celebrated on June 22, 2026 at 9 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, followed by a Celebration of Kathy’s Life at 11:00 a.m. at Turf Valley.

Through Kathy’s generous gift of organ donations, Infinite Legacy will help ensure that her legacy lives on through the lives of transplant recipients and their families.
Though she is no longer with us, Kathy’s kindness, laughter, and endless love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
