Kenneth Francis Santill Jr.

Kenneth Francis Santill, Jr., age 75, of Maryland, passed away on September 19, 2026, at Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center.

Kenneth was born on November 25, 1950, in Cheverly, Maryland, to the late Kenneth Santill and Mary Santill. He was a graduate of Prince George’s Community College, where he earned an Associate of Science degree in Engineering.

Following his education, Kenneth began a long and dedicated career in engineering. He worked for Schnabel Engineering, LLC for more than 30 years before retiring. His many years of service reflected his commitment to his profession and the pride he took in his work.

Faith was an important part of Kenneth’s life. He received Holy Communion on a weekly basis from a Eucharistic Minister of Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Laurel, Maryland. His Catholic faith provided him with comfort and spiritual nourishment throughout his life.

Kenneth also had a lifelong love of horse racing. His passion for horses went beyond watching the races; for many years, he owned and trained horses himself. His dedication to the sport and his connection with horses were an important and memorable part of his life.

Kenneth will be remembered and missed by his brothers, Emidio Santill and Frederick Santill; his sisters, Linda Marie Markuski and her husband, Peter Markuski, and Marie Turgeon and her husband, Thomas Turgeon; and his nieces and nephews, Victor Markuski III, Christina Fabac, Steven Markuski, Ashley Bendit, Courtney Carr, and Sarah Carr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Santill and Mary Santill, and by Janet Carr, whose husband, Dennis Carr, survives her.

Kenneth’s family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and entrust him to God’s loving care.
