Lee "Butch" David Hersh

On Sunday, January 22, 2012, Lee "Butch" Hersh of Jessup, MD, formerly of Middletown, PA. Beloved husband of Donna K. Hersh. Devoted father of James D. Hersh and his wife Kimberly, David R. and Rebecca M. Hersh. Brother of Ruth Hack, Charles Hersh and the late Caroline Bibb. Loving grandfather of Colin J. Hersh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A patriot that served his country for over 40 years in the Army and for the Department of Defense as a civilian analyst. In addition to his service to the country, Lee provided guidance, leadership, and a positive role model to young men as a Scoutmaster and a lifelong Scouter.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc., 7250 Washington Boulevard, Elkridge, MD 21075 on Friday from 7 to 9 pm where Funeral Services for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 12:00 Noon. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society. A Memorial Service celebrating Lee's life will also be held later that evening at 5:00 PM at Severn Christian Church, 8132 New Cut Road, Severn, MD 21144. A light reception will follow.
