Wonderful man and leader. Respected by both teachers and students.

Fondly remember Mr. Carter as my principal at Andover.

The Lindale Jr. High Class of 1974 (the first class to attend all 3 three grades- 7th,8th, and 9th) fondly remembers Mr. Carter.  He ran our school smoothly even while it was still under construction for much of our first year.
Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

May the God of comfort help you through your moment of great sorrow.

My sympathy to the Carter family. Mr. Carter was my first principal at Andover. I had many memories go through my head yesterday.  He was a stickler for his teachers being on time and often was at the teachers entrance in the morning to catch  the latecomers and "reward him or her" with a tongue lashing.   One day, there was a massive accident on the Beltway and a male teacher and I were caught up in the aftermath.  I knew I was going to be late and in those days there was no "instant news".  So as  I rushed in the door with the other teacher, Mr. Carter's looked at his watch, looked at us and said - " this can't be what it looks like" His sense of fairness, knowledge of his teachers as people prevailed.
