On Sunday, October 16, 2011, Mary Evelyn Taylor-Smth, beloved wife of the late, Emmett Elwood Smith, Jr., passed away. Loving mother of Gloria Smith, Ruth Smith, Helen T. Devine, Brenda T. Johnson (James). She is also survived by five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, loving sister of; Leonard Taylor, Allen Taylor, Aloma T. Routon, and a host of loving family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19th from 7-8:30 p.m., in Lynchburg, Virginia at Whitten Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5196 Fort Avenue, Lynchurg, Virginia 24502. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lynchburg, VA. Interment will be held in Ft. Hill Memorial Park, Lynchburg, VA.
