Mary Wallace, affectionately known to family and friends as Pat, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at the age of 77. A woman of unwavering faith, Pat leaves behind a legacy defined by her strength, profound love for family and commitment to the Lord.
Born on July 5th, 1948, to the late Emit Andrew Page and Ann Daisey Toney (Ann Middleton Smith), the strength and compassion that defined Pat in her later years were first forged during her childhood. Growing up, Pat was a force to be reckoned with; the first born of eight, she often protected her siblings in the neighborhood. After graduating high school, she began working at various restaurants where she fine-tuned her culinary skills and was sought after for her delicious cakes, scrumptious fried chicken and savory peas and bacon. She was later employed by The Sheraton Hotel in New Carrolton, MD where she met Nathaniel Wallace, they joined hands in marriage Christmas Day 1984. She also had a prominent career working for Prince George’s County Health Dept where she retired.
Pat’s greatest passions were her faith and her family. For many years, she was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Highland Park, Dr. Henry P. Davis III, Pastor. Her love for the Lord was evident in her tireless service. She actively served on the usher board, was a dedicated missionary, sang in the choir, and led both the Junior Missionary's and the Children’s Church Ministry. Pat’s wisdom and comfort touched countless lives; she regularly visited the sick and shut-in, and frequented shelters spreading Christ's love through Scripture and song. Later in life, Pat relocated to Columbia, Maryland where she began attending Bridgeway Community Church, Dr. David Anderson, Pastor.
Bold and courageous, Pat’s personality was perfectly complemented by her signature color: red, which she proudly wore from head to toe. Her downtime was spent enjoying thrilling action movies and feasting on Maryland blue crabs. Pat’s greatest joy, however, was her family. Her children and grandchildren were the highlight of her life, and she treasured every moment spent with them, from attending church to sharing snacks. Through her love and faith, she invested her whole heart in their lives, leaving them with a strong, lasting foundation and cherished memories.
Pat leaves to cherish her memories and continue her legacy, (two daughters) Princess Fralin (Phillip); Natalie Wallace; (her beloved grandchildren) Vanessa Zarbock, Marcus Sparger, Brittni Page, Xavier Page, Phylesia Fralin, Phillip Fralin II, Caleb Wallace, Carmen Wallace and Cadence Wallace; and a host of great grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She has now joined her husband Nathaniel, (son) Roderick “Roddy” Page, (mother) Ann Middleton Smith (Bernard Smith Sr.), (brother) Robert Page (Tonita), (sister) Elsie Blunt (Ralph), (brother)Bernard Smith Jr.
