Unfortunately none of us know the day or the hour when we must go to our permanent dwelling place. You've received your wings in a timing that caught us unprepared.
I am glad I was given an opportunity to know some samll part of you. You lived your life to the fullest, experiencing and enjoying your dreams. My memories of you will always be of a sweet, quite spirit man!
May the peace of God, that surpasses all our understanding comfort your family and friends.

Hey buddy, this is hard to type.. Not many people are brave enough to write in here from how separated we all became. But I have too.. From elementary to 10th grade we were brothers. Nothing got in our way. We fought over girls, we fought over who could sing better lol, rap better lol, dance better, throw a football, basketball, wrestle, even bad things around the neighborhood lol.. just all of it man. We were best friends. Regardless how life changes for us, I love you man. Watching Ravens games. Sneaking out. Riding around in your dads car listening to lil Wayne haha thinking we were the coolest kids around. Fire hall dances with our jumbo Ts on lol.. So many young memories with you. Your father took care of my dad like he was family. Kept him alive. Your parents always looked out for me. I wish we could’ve put our differences aside, and just had a humble conversation about life. When your father passed, my father and I were crushed. He was the best doctor my dad ever had. Even when he was fighting, he was still there putting other people first. I’ll forever love him for that. I hope you guys are up there reunited, about to watch Lamar do work this season. My heart hurts for your family. Especially your mom and sister. I’d do anything for them, even though I haven’t talked to you guys in years. We will miss you buddy. Your family is in our prayers. Thanks for all the good life you brought while you were here. I’ll cherish our childhood memories forever. Love you man. Shine bright up there!

Wow, well, I am beyond shocked learning of Matt’s passing. I was his fathers Medical Assistant for several years and Matthew had started working at CMP after he graduated High school. Seeing him, a teenaged boy that remained best friends with his dad through the really tough years impressed me. The Freedmans were the type of family that you’d want to be born into. Matthew and Melissa were the center of Ms Anne and Dr Freedmans world. Dr F shared stories of his hopes for them, concerns about school, music and activities they enjoyed and boasted their every accomplishment with beaming pride!
I hadn’t seen them in years and was heartbroken learning of Marshall’s passing and can’t quite process Matthew passing now.
May love keep you beautiful ladies strong and your bond as solid as the love that bound all of you! I’m so so sorry and you have my love and prayers ♥️

Aloha Matt,

It was pure JOY to know you in this life. We have shared so many beautiful memories early in our journeys. Your strength and solid foundation helped allow me to grow in my youth. You helped me through some of my most turbulent times in my life. Transmuting my lack into more.

Having you as my friend was a blessing in all ways. The blessing that was you, was always felt when you were around. You have helped my family experience many blessings with your presence. You were always around to spend time with my family. You made me appreciate things with a greater detail. Your eye for the best was always seen and felt. It was perfectly aligned with my desire for the best and greater as well. This is why I think we got along so well.

Through your kind words always embracing us with love to your open ears ready to listen to whatever troubles came our way...the blessing of you is so profound my family is forever honored and grateful to have experienced the blessings that are you.

I will forever remember the wonderful experiences we shared together...from the time we met, to our trip to Hawaii, to holiday dinners with my family and yours, to the time we went to nyc with your family and the Italian restaurant, to prom, to the time that I visited nyc in 2017 to see you and took you to that same Italian restaurant, to the time that you jumped out of the moving car in Hawaii because of the bee (lol), to the time we went to a dinner for your dad in the inner harbor and I volunteered to dance and realized I didn’t know how to dance after I was in front of everyone (lol), to the time that you didn’t want to do laundry before our trip so you bought a new wardrobe, to the countless times you took me to dinner to my favorite places, to the time that I meet you again…

I will forever love you Matt & and I am honored to have met you in this life.

Aloha & until next time,

Paul Kealoha Fritz Jr <3

Although our interactions were brief, Matt always presented as bright, intelligent, and soft-spoken. I know he was beloved by those who knew him well. I am saddened, and pray for eternal peace for Matt, and strength for those he leaves behind. He will always be remembered.
