Matthew Scott Freedman

On August 27, 2019, Matthew Scott Freedman, (28) of Ellicott City, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Matthew was the beloved son of Anne Freedman (nee King) and the late Dr. Marshall Freedman; cherished brother of Melissa Guala and her husband Phillip; dear nephew of Sandy Fleming (David), Jerry Freedman (Anne) and Barry Freedman (Judi); cousin of Zachary and Andrew Fleming, Richard Freedman (Sharon), Sharon Freedman, Steven Freedman (Ao Xiaowen), Jodi Margil (David) and Michelle Gorenstein (Joel).

Family and friends are invited to gather at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at Meadowridge Memorial Park, Inc. 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge, Maryland 21075 (Exit 6 South off Route 100) on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 10am-11am where a Life Celebration Service will be held at 11am. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Matt Freedman may be directed to support the leukemia research of Dr. Mark Levis at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
