

Michael William Fisher, age 76, of Severn, Maryland passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
He was born on February 4, 1948 to parents, Zeno M. Fisher, Sr. and Beatrice Helen (Eber) Fisher, Michael was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was predeceased by his older brother, Zeno M. Fisher, Jr., and wife Diane (living) and is survived by his younger brother, Earl J. Fisher, and wife Mary, all of Westminster, MD.
Michael is survived by his daughters Jennifer Lynne Moore and her husband Robert E. Moore, Jr., of Delta, PA, and Karen Dawn French of Baltimore, MD. He was a proud grandfather to Emma Nicole Moore of Delta, PA and Sarah Sharlene Moore, of Elizabethtown, PA, and Jackson Charles French of Baltimore, MD.
A man of many passions, Michael was a dedicated fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, rarely missing a game on TV. He had a deep love for fixing anything and everything from electronics to cars, and was well known for his mechanical prowess. His favorite pastimes included relaxing in his recliner, watching his favorite TV shows like Andy Griffith, MASH, Rosanne, classic westerns, and mythical movies, as well as keeping up with current events on FOX News and the NFL Channel.
Professionally, Michael worked on the Hubble Space Telescope from its inception until his retirement, leaving a legacy of contributions to science and space exploration. He cherished the holidays, especially when spent with family, and will be remembered for his love, generosity, and dedication to those closest to him.
Michael proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1973, honorably dedicating himself to the protection of his country. His time in the Navy was a testament to his strong sense of duty, discipline, and commitment to service.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents and brother, and is survived by his loving family and many friends who will miss him dearly.
