Nathaniel Judge Jr, (Affectionately known as Nate) was born in Manhattan, NY on August 1, 1953 to the late Mary and Nathaniel Judge, Sr. On Sunday, September 14, 2025, our beloved Nathaniel earned his wings.
Nathaniel was preceded in death by his Beloved Wife, Clairice Judge. Out of this union Nate inherited children, the late Louise Campbell and Eddie McGuire. Nate is survived by Daughter Sylvia Ann Dorsey (GA); Siblings,(of NY) Sharon Judge, Steve Judge, and Cheryl Judge; Son-In-Law, Arthur L. Campbell (of SC); Grandchildren, Tina Darby-Brown (Greg), Tony Geter (Tanya)(TN), and Crystal Graham (Donald); Tameka Wright (of SC) Great-Grandchildren, Lionel Green, Jr. (Ashley), Ka'Tina Artis (NV), Tevin Geter, Tia Geter (TN), Erykah Graham, and Daniel Brown; 8-Great-Great-Grandchildren, Naziyah, Tylor, Lionel III (of MD), Amari, Carnell, Jada, Dior (of TN) and Elias (of SC); and Special Friend/Brother, Thomas "Bootsy" Green, who helped with care, provided transportation to appointments, cooked, cleaned, and was exceptional company and friend to Nate.
After graduating from Catholic high school, Nate proudly enlisted in the United States Army in 1972, where he went on to serve with distinction until 1992. His remarkable 20-year career in military intelligence allowed him to become well diversified with assignments in Korea, Germany, Leavenworth, Kansas, and Fort Meade, Maryland.
During his military career, Nate met the love of his life, Clairice. They were married on October 3, 1976, and went on to share 32 countless years of love, laughter, and cherished memories together.
Nate’s life was a true testament to resilience. After facing many medical challenges, he continued to live with strength and joy, never letting anything slow him down. He was known for his love of music and dancing—especially the sounds of James Brown, The Temptations, and other old-school favorites. Friday nights often found him enjoying wrestling—WWF SmackDown being a favorite—or relaxing with classic Westerns.
Family and good food brought Nate his greatest joy. His well-known request, “Bring me some good food,” always brought smiles, especially when crab cakes were on the table. His warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Nathaniel will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home at MMP, Inc., 7250 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Interment private.
